Workshop description: Sell your workshop! Include topic, format (lecture, groups, panel, hands on, etc.), special materials or resources that will be used or distributed. What will participants come away with that will help them in the classroom?

Is your workshop best suited to teachers of P-6, 7-9, 10-12 or all grades?

Appropriate to specific curriculum outcomes or courses ie - Grade 5 Social Studies, Global Geography 12 - population unit, Historical inquiry skills, Canadian Law courses


Technology - The workshop rooms generally have an LCD projector, screen, and a USB port for laptop or flash drive. If you require any other equipment, please specify here.

Do you need a computer lab for your participants?


If yes, do you need software installed on the computers?


Participant Numbers: The number of participants is generally set at between 15 and 30. High or low registration numbers will sometimes warrant an extension of the maximum number of participants, or necessitate cancellation of a workshop. ie - I need at least 12 people to do group work; I only have 24 resource kits, so that should be the maximum. Please identify any special participant minimum or maximum requirements below.

University classes continue in the building as the conference takes place. Therefore, set-up time in the workshop rooms is tight. If you require set-up or tear-down times longer than 10 minutes, please describe your requirements.

Is there any other information that we or participants should know about your workshops or requirements (ex: I am bringing items that need storage prior to my workshop, participants should wear comfortable clothes for this activity) Let us know!
